DON’T GET STUMPED BY EYELID LUMPS AND BUMPS

METHODS:A prospective study of eyelid lumps during June22-June23 is considered. a total of 15 patients were evaluated  with special emphasis on extent of lesion , local nodal involvement and systemic evaluation was done. Incisional biopsy done in indicated cases. All patients underwent definitive surgery in the form of wide local excision with clear margin and appropriate lid reconstruction in biopsy proven cases. Patients were followed up regularly
RESULTS:Most of the patients presented with benign tumors such as dermoid and malignant conditions consists mostly of BCC and SGC.
CONCLUSION:Early clinical diagnosis of malignant tumors with confirmatory incision biopsy and appropriate preop planning of Lid reconstruction will aid in better prognostic results to obtain good functional and cosmetic outcome
