To compare the efficacy between Indirect Ophthalmoscopy and Digital fundus Imaging in screening ROP.

Purpose: To compare the efficacy between Indirect Ophthalmoscope and Digital fundus imaging system   in screening of  Retinopathy of Prematurity.
Methods:16 high risk infants were taken , and screened for retinopathy with Indirect ophthalmoscope and Digital fundus imaging system separately. Detailed history, anterior segment evaluated. Posterior segment screened and compared with indirect ophthalmoscopy and digital fundus imaging system.
Results:16 infants analysed and compared with IDO and Digital fundus imaging system in detection of ROP . The technical difficulties on using IDO in screening ROP babies were more compared to Digital fundus imaging system.
Conclusion:IDO and RETCAM both showed accuracy of 100% with 95%confidence interval of 79.41- 100 % accuracy .IDO has certain technical difficulties whereas Digital fundus imaging system is an easy and effective method  can be delivered to reach community in an effective way.
