RETROSPECTIVE STUDY OF TRABECULECTOMY WITH SICS- VISUAL OUTCOME AND EFFECT ON IOP 

PURPOSE
To determine visual outcome & IOP control following trabeculectomy with SICS
METHOD
Hospital based retrospective study done at MOH & RIO from 1stApril 2022 to 30thApril 2023.Patients who had significant cataract with glaucoma & failed to respond to medical management of glaucoma are included in study. After taking informed consent, comprehensive ocular examination, glaucoma evaluation was done.
patients posted for SICS with trabeculectomy & post op followed up on 1st week & 1st,2nd,3rd month
RESULTS
46pts(75eyes) underwent SICS with trabeculectomy
42 eyes (15 B/L),31 eyes (11 B/L),2eyes had POAG, PACG, NTG respectively
Mean preop IOP was 26.32mm Hg in POAG, 35.74mm Hg in PACG, 20.12mm Hg in NTG respectively Mean preop vision was 4/60
Postop IOP on 1st week 16.52,19.32,18.12mm Hg & 3rd month 14.50,18.34,16.20mm Hg in POAG, PACG, NTG respectively. Mean post op vision 6/24
CONCLUSION	
Study showed better visual outcome and IOP control following trabeculectomy with SICS
