A CASE OF MEIBOMIAN GLAND CARCINOMA TREATED WITH CUTLER BEARD PROCEDURE

CASE REPORT
A 64 year old male patient presented with history of swelling in right upper eye lid since 8 years insidious onset gradually progressed  from pea to almond size,associated with discharge,matting of lashes,mild pain.On inspection single,irregular ulcerative growth measuring 2×2cm with ulcer 0.5×0.5cm having raised and beaded edges seen over the right upper eyelid.On palpation surface is nodular with firm in consistency extending upto palpebral conjunctiva. 
INTRAOPERATIVE-Tumor was excised by creating rectangular upper eyelid defect.Frozen section was sent to confirm tumor free margin.Defect was repaired by CUTLER–BEARD PROCEDURE.
HISTOPATHOLOGY REPORT-moderately differentiated meibomian gland carcinoma.
CONCLUSION-Sebaceous gland carcinoma is an aggressive,uncommon cutaneous tumor arise from the meibomian glands often in the upper eyelid.Detection,removal of tumor with lid reconstruction allowed restoration of both anatomy and dynamic function of eyelid.
