A Rare case of Sympathetic ophthalmia post blunt trauma to eye

Purpose:-To report a case of Sympathetic ophthalmia post blunt trauma to the eye.
Methodology  
2 Cases presented with diminution of vision  in LE since 3days post trauma with fist to Re. He had past history of trauma with ball to RE 20yrs back .vision RE PL negative & left eye CF at 1mts Anterior segment shows AC cells 0.5+ and vitreous cells .
Case 2 :- similar history of blunt trauma and DOV since 1week.
 BOTH cases fundus shows disc margin blurring , macular edema with choroidal folds.Oct shows sub retinal fluid and choroidal folds.
Both cases started on Iv steroids followed by oral steroids and immunomodulators, followed up for 3month.
Results :- At the end of 3 month followup 
vision improved drastically.
OCT showed reduction of subretinal fluid & restoration of anatomy.
Conclusion 
Though rare Sympathetic ophthalmia can occur post blunt trauma.High index of suspicion needed to diagnose early & to treat it . Oct is usefull tool to help in diagnosis and monitoring of disease.
