RETINAL TOXICITY FROM ECTOPARASITICIDE EXPOSURE OR COINCIDENTAL??

A 42 Year old male presented with complaints of sudden diminution of vision in RE for 3days,after fall of ectoparasticide(DELTAMETHRIN1.25%)in RE.Uncorrected visual acuity in RE: counting fingers at 1/2metre,LE:6/6. Anterior segment evaluation showed RE and LE within normal limits. Pupils were 3mmRRRL in OU. Fundus in RE showed C:D:0.5,A:V 2:3 with subretinal fluid accumulation in macula and LE showed normal fundus picture. A diagnosis of RE Central serous Chorioretinopathy was made using OCT.
•	CONCLUSION:
Ectoparasiticide exposure has been associated with retinopathy in agricultural workers. Primary prevention is the appropriate method of protecting eyes from ectoparasiticide-related damage.
