sebaceous carcinoma of eyelid

Background-sebaceous carcinoma is a rare, highly malignant and potentially lethal tumour of the skin, most common is eyelids.
Case report- A 75 years old male patients presented with swelling in the right eyelid since 4 years which is initially started in lower eyelid later gradually increased in size and obscure the right eye. On local examination exophytic fungating mass extending from right upper lid upto right lower lid globe not visualized, fragile tissue, yellowish discharge. Right pre auricular lymph nodes and submandibular lymph nodes are palpable. Unaided vision RE-PL negative, LE-CF@2mts. Punch biopsy-moderately differentiated sebaceous carcinoma of orbit. Patient underwent wide exicison+right eye exenteration+ right MRND type III (level IA-IV) +right superficial parotidectomy+STG reconstruction under GA under team of ophthalmologist, oncologist, plastic surgeon.
Conclusion-Early diagnosis and surgical therapy leads to better outcome and higher survival rates.
