PAINLESS MOORENS ULCER, IS IT POSSIBLE!?

This a case of a 70 year old male who came to ophthalmology department in our institute with diminution of vision in right eye since 4-5 months, gradual in onset, progressive and painless; associated with serous discharge, redness, photophobia and watering, with vigorous eye rubbing, grittiness and foreign body sensation. Head posture was normal with no chin lift or head tilt. Visual acuity was counting finger 3 meter (OD) improving to 6/24(P) and 6/18(p) (OS). Anterior segment (OD) - limbal involvement in ulcerative degeneration. Infero-temporally crescentic corneal degeneration involving more than 3/4th part of stroma from 7o’ clock -9 o’clock present. The edges- undermined. Fundus evaluation (OU) - showed disc with temporal crescent and tessellated background. Schirmer’s and TBUT were positive. Patient was treated for mooren’s ulcer.
