Assessment and rehabilitation of visually disabled-A ray of hope and optimism to a whole new world
The course is structured to highlight the impact of low vision in the population, the need for assessment, detailed evaluation of various aspects of low vision, spectrum of available low vision devices (Optical, non-optical and advanced), the prescription and dispensing of low vision devices, education and training of patients and caregivers regarding their use.
The instruction course aims to highlight that thorough assessment of visually disabled and assistance with suitable low vision devices goes a long way in leading life with confidence and independence.
The chief instructor has completed MBBS and MS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, M.Sc. Community Eye Health from International Care 
Centre of Eye Health, attached to Moorfields Eye Hospital, 
London.Fellowship in Vitreo-retina by RGUHS. Her areas of interest/Research remarkably in the field of Community Ophthalmology – Eye Donation Awareness at Rural Setup, Diabetic Retinopathy, Endophthalmitis, Artificial Intelligence and Low Vision Aids. She has numerous national and international publications. She has many awards and honours to her credit.
