Posterior capsular tear management: Principles and practices

Posterior capsular (PC) tear is an inevitable complication which every cataract surgeon is bound to experience.By following the right principles this complication can be managed effectively to provide an outcome that is almost indistinguishable from a routine case.PC tear during phacoemulsification can happen at different stages of the surgery Systematic approach will be taught to deal with different situations like PC tear with nucleus in situ, PC tear with cortex insitu, PC Tear without anterior hyaloid rupture.In this Video course tips to diagnose the pc tear at the earliest, prevent an impending nucleus drop, prevent the rupture of anterior hyaloid , prevent the PC tear enlargement during anterior vitrectomy will be shared.Techniques of anterior vitrectomy and implantation of different IOL types in the presence of a PC tear will be taught.
